Cyprus’ Hydrocarbons State Company (KRETYK) will undertake all maters related to hydrocarbons, in accordance with the Republic of Cyprus laws and taking into consideration the pursuit of the country’s public interest, Government Spokesman Stefanos Stefanou has said.
The Spokesman’s comments came in response to press questions on media reports that the government is handing over negotiations with “Noble Energy” to the Board of KRETYK.
Negotiations were pursued so far by a government team, under the Energy Director of the Ministry of Commerce Solon Kasinis and the participation of the Treasury and the Law Office of the Republic.
