Cyprus to investigate harassment of Norwegian seismic ship

NICOSIA - The government is looking into all the facts concerning the harassment of the Norwegian seismic ship Princess by the Turkish navy, off Cyprus’ shores, Deputy Government Spokesman Victoras Papadopoulos said on Monday.
He also said that a statement will be issued on the matter later today.
His comments came in response to an announcement  by the Turkish armed forces that the ship, which was conducting exploratory research east of Cyprus, was ordered by the Turkish frigate “Giresun” to steer away from what Ankara describes as “Turkish waters.”
The incident happened on Saturday. The Turkish frigate was in the area in the framework of Mediterranean Shield
