Former Assistant Secretary of Unites States Matthew Bryza who also served as an envoy on Cyprus and was a strong supporter of the Anan plan, has proposed a 2 phase energy plan which calls for cooperation between Cyprus, Turkey and Israel.
In a commentary published by the electronic edition of financial giant Bloomberg, Bryza says that Israel could build a pipeline to Turkey that could go through a Vasilikos LNG plant. Now on the board of Turcas Energy Group AS, a company backing an Israel-Turkey gas pipeline, he is arguing that this solution will contribute to positive developments in Cyprus problem negotiations as well as improve Ankara-Tel Aviv relations.
