The Natural Gas Public Company (DEFA) announced Monday that 8 Interested Parties submitted Monday their binding proposals, for the Expression of Interest procedure which was initiated on 27th September 2012 for the short term supply of Natural Gas to Cyprus.
DEFA noted that is evaluating the proposals.
For the first stage of the Expression of Interest procedure, 17 interested parties have submitted their proposals of which 14 qualified for the next stage. The closing date for the submission of binding proposals was the 4th February 2013 at 17.00 local time (15.00 GMT).
DEFA mission is to secure sufficient Natural Gas supplies, at the lowest possible prices, to cover the needs for Electricity Power Generation and to develop the necessary gas network infrastructure.
